As a part of the 2009 Rally, the committee arranged for several side trips for sight-seeing and relaxation--
fishing in Lake Dardanelle, visiting the Arkansas Nuclear One power plant, and hiking at the Bona Dea Trails and Sanctuary.
Ever the naturalist, Ace led the group through the lush woods and swamps, spotting many other creatures including copperhead ground snakes. Much excitement.
The consensus of the hikers was that Arkansas has some lovely natural resources.
