Angel Snakes began moving into my studio over five years ago as I prepared for a solo exhibition of snake paintings. They have taken over and now I spend much of my time helping them with their body paint, correcting the spelling and grammar on their blog, finding them work, mediating their disputes, and generally taking care of them.
Having recently retired from teaching English, I can now spend much more time in the studio. Hurray! My boldly colored painted designs are now being executed in fiber in the form of small art quilts. Each one tells a story or something about the lives of the Angel Snakes. Since the story is an integral to each piece of art, I have printed it on fabric and stitched it to the back of its quilt so that it will always be there.
I do hope you enjoy the art and stories I have created.
